*Explain the principles of cardiac output and stroke volume: preload, afterload, myocardial contractility
*Discuss and differentiate the three clinical stages of shock
*List and differentiate the types of shock: Cardiogenic, Hypovolemic, Distributive, Obstructive
*Link the clinical manifestations and hemodynamic readings to the various types of shock
*Discuss initial interventions along with preventative steps to take in caring for the child in shock
*Describe what is meant by MODS or multiple organ dysfunction syndrome
*Integrate the shock assessment techniques and critical thinking skills by use of case scenarios
