This module includes a description of the chain of infection and its specific links, discussion of some common infectious agents, and identification of steps that can be taken to prevent or interrupt the transmission of infection.
This module is designed to meet the needs of individual health care providers in the acute and non-acute hospital setting looking to upgrade their knowledge in reference to infection control. The key to avoiding infection is education.
