Arterial Blood Gas Interpretation

This module includes the recognition and analysis of both arterial and venous blood gases. As well, a clinical understanding of metabolic acidosis-alkalosis and respiratory acidosis-alkalosis including exercises in differentiation. It also includes a case scenario that puts into practice the learner's understanding of the material.
This course has the goal of facilitating knowledge and confidence in the care of the patient requiring blood gas analysis. Blood Gas Analysis-All Ages is also used as a great orientation tool for nurses wishing to pursue an understanding of blood gas analysis.
Target Audience:
This module is designed for nurses who are currently working with any patient who may require analysis of blood gas results. It can also be used as an orientation tool for nurses new to this responsibility.
